1 Corinthians 1:26–31; (KJV 1900)- 26 For ye see your calling, brethren,
how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not
many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the
world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the
world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the
world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things
which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should
glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is
made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification,
and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him
glory in the Lord.
The most important subject to the body of Christ is the principle of calling
things that be not as though they were. The enemy has so distorted this
that children of God are reluctant to believe this. The recent ‘name it and
claim it’ movement did a job on the people of God with a twisted use of
the words of scripture. One cannot go around naming and claiming things
that one is not equipped to maintain ( quick explanation ).
This, however, is the method chosen by the Eternal God to bring about
whatever He chooses, and He made us in His image. Therefore, we are to
do as our Father does (1 Cor. 1:26-28 ).
Romans 4:17b states that He is the God who gives life to the dead and
calls into being what does not yet exist.
We must choose to call for the eternal spiritual forces to bring into being
things that are not, and put to naught what is present. In 2 Cor. 4: 11,13,
17, 18, we see Paul reminding the saints that the life of Jesus should be
made manifest in their mortal bodies. Paul said “ David believed and
spoke ( Ps 116:10 ), we also believe, and therefore speak”
When we confess the answer, we are not denying the existence of our
issues, we are doing what God does by calling forth the things that are not
( the desired solutions ) into manifestation. We have to be careful that we
do not call what is as though it doesn’t exist, that would be lying. In other
words, if you are sick, don’t go around saying I’m not sick, but call forth
your health to take the place of the sickness. Call the solution out of the
spirit into the natural.
It is so ironic, if we have a pet and it is missing, we would all be calling it’s
name. We would call until it comes home. If a family member is missing,
we call him or her on the phone, we search for them, and call everyone in
search of them. However, when we encounter issues, we hesitate to call
the solutions, we continue hashing over the issues instead of calling for
the solutions by name. God forced Abram into believing by changing his
name. Zachariah however, did not believe and God shut his mouth so that
he would not speak doubt and abort God’s plan. Luke 1:13, 18-20.
God is not asking us to deny what is in front of us but to call forth the
answers to the issues we are confronted with.
