At His New Wine Ministry, we spread inspiration through publishing life-changing messages from God’s Word. We hope to uplift and bring fire to the hearts of many and let them walk with us along with our unconditional faith in the Lord.

MEDITATION THAT PRODUCES COURAGE

This Month’s meditations is “THERE IS HOPE” Psalm 23:

1–3 – The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.

3  He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalm 33:18 – Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his mercy;

The Holy Spirit, My Senior Partner
The Holy Spirit is a member of the Godhead. He is called the Holy Spirit of Grace, and is represented as different elements, such as, wind, fire, water, oil and a dove.
Matt. 28:19, sets the Holy Spirit in the same position as the Father and the Son.
Acts 5:3,4, clearly calls the Holy Spirit God, in the case of Ananias and Sapphira.
The original meaning for the Greek word for Grace, is beauty, beauty through all of the important joys and pursuit of life, and the beauty of their land. This was the Greek’s idea of grace, how much more God’s gift to us of favor, goodwill, giver of unconditional and overflowing love, with no expectation of payment, this is mind boggling! The love of God toward us resulted in God sending His Son to die for our sins, a sacrificial love. This tells how much we are valued by God, WE ARE PRICELESS to Him.

The heavens and the earth were created by the Holy Spirit by the will of God, Gen.1:2, Job 26:13, and the Holy Spirit has all the attributes of God.
He is a person who is Eternal, Heb. 9:14, Omniscient, 1 Cor. 2:10, Omnipotent, Luke 1:35, and Omnipresent, Ps. 139:7,8.
The Holy Spirit is God, and has a personality, and because of this, we can have relationship with Him, and He understands our problems.
He speaks,Rev. 2:7, He prays and He helps us in our weakness, Rom. 8:26
.
He teaches us, John 14:26, He testifies of the Lord, John 15:26
.
He guides,John 16:13, He commands, Acts 16:6,7
.
He calls and appoints, Acts 13:2, He comforts, Acts 9:31
.
Knowledge is ascribed to Him, 1 Cor. 2:10, Rom. 8:27.
He has emotions and feelings, Rom. 5:5, Eph 4:30, Rom. 8:26.
He has a will, 1 Cor. 12:11, Acts 16:6,7.
He is a real person, requiring our love and worship, and He uses people for His work, according to His will.
The Holy Spirit gives gifts to believers, for the church to be a well-oiled machine, ministering to each other and to the unsaved, to manifest the love and Glory of God.
There are 9 gifts of the Spirit, given for the edification of God’s people and the benefit and growth of the church. These gifts are to be used as the Spirit directs, and not to show that we possess any type of supernatural power.
We should never become boastful or arrogant, to grieve the Spirit, and lose communion with Him.
It is vital to our success as able ministers, to allow the gifts to flow through us, without favoritism or partiality, bringing blessing to the church and to each other.
It is possible to possess more than one gift, Jesus used all nine gifts in His earthly ministry, and we can possess multiple gifts. We must be careful however, to study the word of God, and die to self-daily, as the gifts must always be in line with the Word of God.
Communion with the Holy Spirit is necessary for our walk with God, so that our every thought, decision, and action, is subject to God’s guidance for our spiritual Well-being, and victorious living. A relationship with the Holy Spirit is the single, most important need in the life of a believer, in my opinion.
The Holy Spirit leads us into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thess. 2:5.
It is the Spirit who leads us into the Grace and love of God, so that our faith does not become the faith of dead works.
The Holy Spirit assists us in praying, for we really do not know how to pray as we should. Rom. 8:26. And, through communion with Him, we obtain fellowship of an intimate nature with God.
We are empowered to evangelize by the Spirit to do the business of God on earth, and the hearts of mankind are prepared to receive the good news of the Gospel and accept Jesus by His promptings. Luke 5:10, Phil. 3:10, 2Cor. 10:16.
Jesus told his disciples ,” ye shall receive power ,after the Holy Spirit is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. Acts 1:8.
After His resurrection,Jesus gave the great commission, and commanded His disciples to wait for the promise of the Father ,until they were endued with power from on high. Luke 24:49.
He promised his sorrowful disciples, that He would pray to the Father, who would give them another comforter to abide with them forever, who would not leave us without comfort. John 14:16,18.
Evangelism would be a futile work without partnership with the Holy Spirit. Even as the early church at Antioch ministered to the Lord and prayed in the Spirit, Acts 13:4, so to must all churches. We need direction from the Spirit for every plan, and program. Without His guidance, we are in danger of having failed efforts, and empty pews.
We must acknowledge, worship, give thanks to, and depend on the Holy Spirit in all that we do. Apostle Paul worked in such a partnership, and was mightily used of God.
Ultimately, the Holy Spirit and His gifts enables believers to work responsibly and effectively, to accomplish the work and plan of God, on earth.
